Generation Z: Born between 2000 and 2012, commonly known as Gen Z. They prioritise diversity across various dimensions, encompassing not only race and gender but also identity and orientation.

Quiet Room

Hot Desking Area

Resembling the team-based area, the hot desking area serves as a touch-down location for users passing through the office or as overflow space when the team-based area is full.


The atrium is equipped with various tables and seating options for informal meetings exclusive to Council staff. It also serves as a lunch area for employees, offering both traditional meeting-style tables with upright chairs and more relaxed seating arrangements and benches. The atrium overlooks a balcony/walkway connecting both sides of the office building.

Bookable Meeting Rooms

These are small meeting rooms that can be reserved for formal meetings.

Home/Outside of Office

The provision of phones and laptops enables participants to work remotely, whether from home or external locations such as libraries and cafes.

Kitchen, Corridor, and Print Room

While these spaces were not originally designed for the pilot program, literature on the subject suggests that they could serve as ideal areas for facilitating knowledge transfer.
