We have learned about mindfulness, but we haven’t learned how to practice it? Learning to practice it, is the most important thing because most people don’t know how to practice it correctly, that’s why they are unable to benefit from it. The best possible way is to have a personal, trusted teacher to guide you. However, the guides follow the same techniques. There are many techniques to practice, but we will discuss a few here.

Focus:

This is one of the common and significant techniques. In here, we focus on the breath, especially when we inhale and exhale. Whenever you get the distracted start over again, we use this technique to enhance our focus.

Noticing:

In this technique, you just think about one thought of feeling that keeps you focus on it. It helps you to learn about yourself and let you know which things you like or don’t like.

Body meditation:

In this technique, one connects to the body during meditation. You are focusing on your whole body from head to toe. It helps you to realize all the aches and pain in your body.

Imagination:

This mindfulness technique is handy to improve the focus. In this technique, one imagines something or someone abstract to hold your attention more firmly.

Resting awareness:

This is a beneficial technique of mindfulness, this technique involves resting your mind so that thought may enter, but as you are resting, they will leave without distracting. It is better than the imagination and focuses technique.
